Are we Becoming the Next North Korea?

That’s not a rhetorical question

Is America becoming the next North Korea?

Trump’s ’Liberation Day’ tariffs are the capstone of an overall effort to isolate America from the world. The worldwide tariff attack is an unprecedented act of economic disruption and destruction meant to isolate our nation and impose economic chaos on the entire world.

But there’s more. This latest tyrannical lightning strike comes on the heels of an extraordinary, nationwide blitzkrieg that is crushing all of the resources and institutions in our country that support the provision of ‘public goods,’ including:

• Health care

• Public AND private education

• National parks

• Biomedical and other scientific research

• Environmental protection

• Veterans resources

• . . . Basically any public good you (or they) can think of

Also being crushed is the rule of law, the authority of our courts, the authority of the Congress, and the First, Fourth, Fifth, Sixth, Seventh Eighth, Ninth, Fourteenth, Fifteenth, and Nineteenth Amendments to The Constitution.

With these and countless other illegal, immoral, and unconstitutional acts of destruction, we are losing the most precious of all of our rights and privileges as Americans: the agency and the freedom we have to engage in the civic life of our communities and nation.

If Trump’s tyrannical rampage were only economic, the analog for our future might be Great Britain and its Brexit from the European Union.

But this deranged man and his cabinet of consiglieres is not simply sealing our economic fate, they are sealing off America and Americans from our democratic heritage and any trace of being the land of Liberty, Equality, and Justice for all.

We are on the road to being a continent-plus-sized North Korea, complete with a leader who believes that he has assumed the divine mantle of a King.

And this is not about unveiling a secret plot.

This is not a conspiracy theory.

This is all plain and open to see — and is more likely than not the result of the utter ignorance, depravity, and stupidity of Trump, his cabinet and his party of Muskreants, thugs, and stooges.

Let’s be clear about this:

This is not what anyone voted for and it must be stopped.
